  This cafe has a very socially liberal atmosphere. From the regularly-rotated, locally-created paintings on the walls to the eclectic employee-selected music to the backdrop of varied conversation between people from many different walks of life, this place screams "come as you are."
  
  The mochas are tasty, the furnishings are homey, and the location is fantastic, just off of the main strip of downtown Santa Cruz in a house that feels like a piece of history.

  I love the vegetarian lasagna here. They also have amazing coffee and chai. It's a little hipster hang out with a very young vibe. The beer garden is super cool. Something you actually expect in a foreign country.

  Best biergarten in Santa Cruz! Attractive, entertaining, helpful staff and the chance to be outdoorsy in the drinking-on-patios sense of the term. Great live music events on a semi-monthly basis. Highly recommended!
